Alex Guarnaschelli
Guarnaschelli, Maria Guarnaschelli's daughter works as an editor of cookbooks. Barnard College awarded her a certificate in art history and art in 1991. She worked for the American Place restaurant for one year , earning the minimum wage from 1991 until 1991. Guarnaschelli's experience in the kitchen began after watching her mother try out a range of recipes at home , while she was editing cookbooks. Guarnaschelli worked under Larry Forgione (whose son is Iron Chef Marc Forgione), and then at a number of restaurants across France, New York and Los Angeles, including Guy Savoy's La Butte Chaillot. She also worked at Daniel Boulud's famous restaurant as well as Joachim Splichal's Patina before being named the executive chef of Butter. In the years before its demise She was also an executive chef at the Darby. Chair of the Museum for Food and Drink's Culinary Council. Guarnaschelli published her first cookbook in 2013. "Old school comfort food: The Way I Learned To Cook" contains the author's autobiographical details and her favorite recipes, which Guarnaschelli developed from her work experience.
